Jennifer Muller/The Works. The company there put on an amazing show in their studio on 24th street. There is something so ethereal about watching artist-athletes who you know have trained for countless hours to bring a few minutes of the most dense parts of their craft to an audience. We who may have little knowledge of the blood and sweat and toil that went into that performance.
Last night I was lucky enough to witness a contemporary dance demonstration at There were moments when the entire group was airborne, floating, that I could feeling myself being lifted as I watched. I couldn’t but help sitting bolt upright for them! It reminded me: We all want to be larger than life. We want to touch that immense size, that dimension beyond, which fills all, and lets our earthbound bodies soar to a greater place that is right here, and exists in the witnessing fabric between every conscious being.
